Leading multiple teams of engineers, with the mission to establish the right processes and tools to be effective.
My goal is to strategically align our research and development effort with the organization's policies and objectives.

On a technical stand point, I Dockerized all of our services and migrated the tech stack to AWS. Setup load balancers, multiple instances in different geographical locations and applied streaming replication of our databases.
The result was a fault tolerant and highly available infrastructure.

Introduced Continuous Delivery concepts by implementing deployment techniques to automate the deployment process and produce features in short cycles, ensuring that code can be reliably released at any time.

Re-developed the platform from scratch and integrated many feature improvements, mainly to the back-end.

Released 6 API versions to support our mobile apps, our 3rd party reservation widget and our public partnerships.
Completely re-designed the Database Schematics based on a performance/integrity balance and as expected, recursive CTEs and ltree extension of Postgres is pure hands-on power.

Last but not least, I built the environment for hosting the application. A RAID config with 2 SSD drives on a CentOS "cocoon". Fully automated development using Vagrant and by Dockerizing the technology stack.

As a result, the platform responds close to 4x times faster than before and can handle traffic with more efficiency and effectiveness.

It is safe to say, that it turns out to be a good before/after example.
